22 Aug Directions
I’ve taken off in new directions which combines both realism and impressionistic work. I’ve done some abstract work in the past but that was 20 plus years ago. I’d like to get some feedback on these two paintings.
I’ve always believed in giving back. With a little concentration on directions, my focus was on sewing blankets for some very poor people in Central Mexico who live in the mountains. Jeff and Ranea Petit worked as missionaries there for 15 years and have recently re-located to Gilbert, Arizona. Their work has produced five separate churches on the east side of the Sea of Cortez. They return a few times a year and deliver needed items. When there, I was impressed that Copper Canyon had the same look and feel as the Grand Canyon. I visited one of the oldest Catholic churches in the America’s where all the paintings at the front of the church had been stolen, only their frames were left behind. One glaring exception, the portrait of Jesus which was left because the thieves didn’t want to be cursed. To get more information on Sunrise or Jeff and Ranea go to the following link and connect:
